倫敦地產公司Benham and Reeves根據政府數據總結出英格蘭第二間物業(即非自住物業)投資熱點,雖然購買量佔整個英格蘭樓市交易約四分之一(23%),但如果以全英國熱點地區來計算,這一數字則上升至49%。
在英國購買第二間物業或買樓出租,需要繳付較高稅率的印花稅。 數據顯示,2022/23年度透過政府印花稅登記的住宅交易超過一百萬筆,其中233,800人(23%)需要繳納高額印花稅。
從地區來看,英格蘭東北地區的第二間物業買家活動最為活躍,27%的印花稅收入來自購買第二間物業或買樓出租。倫敦和西北地區排名第二(27%),而西南地區則比例最低,只有約19%。

倫敦的買樓出租市場主要由投資人士所推動,特別是海外買家。其他熱門投資城市包括:利物浦 - 2022/23年度所有新買賣住宅中有40%屬第二間物業或買樓出租,其次是Burnley(36%)、Middlesbrough(36%)、曼徹斯特(36%)、Slough(35%)、Enfield(35%)和諾定咸(35%)也打入前十名。
