倫敦地產公司Benham and Reeves根據政府數據總結出英格蘭第二間物業（即非自住物業）投資熱點，雖然購買量佔整個英格蘭樓市交易約四分之一（23%），但如果以全英國熱點地區來計算，這一數字則上升至49%。
在英國購買第二間物業或買樓出租，需要繳付較高稅率的印花稅。 數據顯示，2022/23年度透過政府印花稅登記的住宅交易超過一百萬筆，其中233,800人（23%）需要繳納高額印花稅。
從地區來看，英格蘭東北地區的第二間物業買家活動最為活躍，27%的印花稅收入來自購買第二間物業或買樓出租。倫敦和西北地區排名第二（27%），而西南地區則比例最低，只有約19%。

倫敦的買樓出租市場主要由投資人士所推動，特別是海外買家。其他熱門投資城市包括：利物浦 － 2022/23年度所有新買賣住宅中有40%屬第二間物業或買樓出租，其次是Burnley（36%）、Middlesbrough（36%）、曼徹斯特（36%）、Slough（35%）、Enfield（35%）和諾定咸（35%）也打入前十名。
